LA's fashion must have's part 2

Hello world, now that the main component is out of the way here are a few fun items that you will need to complete a fun and fashionable summer!

A unique mani- I am in love with manicures. They can be simple  all the way to extreme art. Your nails are just as important as you're outfit. You can express yourself through your color or add a funky print.

I also like to spice up an outfit with a  clutch. Clutches are a light weight perfect statement piece. There are millions of styles, shapes, and colors. You can take a simple outfit and turn it into a stylish ensemble.

Last and certainly not least, I cannot complete an outfit without a unique shoe. I am not a 6 inch heel diva so I have to find shoes that are sexy, stylish and comfortable. I have several pairs of flats, sandals and wedges but I have fallen in love with the sneaker wedges. They come in a variety of prints and styles. I also like how they give you a little height and still provide you with stability. There is nothing cute about wobbling and walking around with you're feet on fire.

**both of these sneaker wedges can be found on amiclubwear**

Thank you all for taking a moment to check out my must have's. Any questions, comments, concerns or if you just want to say heyyy, email me lalakurviekulture@gmail.com

Latiffany's Summer must Haves

1)      Confidence

There is nothing you can put on to make you feel beautiful if you don’t have my number one summer must have! Confidence is the key to all fashion. You have to know your beautiful and also feel great in whatever your wearing. Whether you're a size 0 or 30, you can be a fashionista. In the real world there is no standard of beauty, YOU are your own standard. Beauty has no size, do not allow society influence your self esteem.

You maybe wondering why this picture is posted under confidence. This was my 25th birthday, the year I decided to really love myself. The year where I chose to show who I am and not who I want people to see. I decided not to let my "flaws" hinder me from my dreams . It has not been a perfect journey but I am still walking the path!

This is just the beginning yall! Check back tomorrow for the rest of my list! if you need to reach me please email lalakurviekulture@gmail.com

A cute open toe sandal, wedge, or flip flop, when I wanna let my toes breathe and show off a great pedicure, does the trick for me, but I also have to keep a cute boat shoe handy for rainy days. Kea's Top 5 Summer Must Haves!

As Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince would put it, “Summer Summer Summertime…time to sit back and unwind”. I LOVE THAT SONG!!! It gets me TURNED UP FOR SUMMER!!!  It is upon us…SUMMER! A time to kickback, have fun, and unwind. In my case, a time to travel and enjoy myself.  I may live in North Carolina but I am a Jamaican Florida Girl all the way. Summer has always been a time to hit up amusement parks, go to the natural springs to swim, head to the beach or water park,  and wear the least amount of clothing possible…LOL! It gets hot around these parts (104 in the shade) so fashion and beauty choices separate the cute and haut from the people who will have a heat stroke…LOL. My top 5 fashion and beauty must haves for the summer keep me cute but not weighed down in fabric and accessories.

1.Maxi Dresses: I love the light weight material of a maxi dress.  The more colorful the better. They have a variety of styles so you can change up your style but still have that cool feeling to allow that breeze to flow. Whether halter, strapless, racer back, or spaghetti …CUTE CUTE CUTE!

2.Bright Lipstick and Gloss: I love to wear make-up however I also love to be outside and in the sun. Make-up is hard to wear when you are jumping in and out of water for 2 months plus my complexion gets darker so I don’t wear much make-up. My one staple for the summer in the make-up department is lipstick/gloss. During the summer I tend to go for brighter colors like pinks & corals.

3.Shades: Not only do shades protect your eyes from the bright glare of the sun, they are also a fashionable accessory. My favorite are the classic black however I do venture out and wear colored shades depending on what I am wearing so I can match your outfit.  I like all shapes and, of course, the BIGGER THE BETTER!

4.Earrings: Earrings are my absolute favorite accessory. I love big hoops, big dangly earrings, big colorful studs, ghetto knockers, etc. If I get up in the morning and head off to work and I don’t have on earrings my day is ruined…HONESTLY! No matter the season I need to have on at least one pair of earrings. This is true especially in the summer because I don’t wear a lot of clothing (I’m not naked but let’s face it…its HOT) nor make-up.

5.Sandals: Break out the nail polish ladies and get those toes together after the long cold winter because it is time for SANDALS! Flats, wedges, gladiators, whatever your pleasure. Sandals are very versatile and go with just about anything. They are easy breezy and allow your feet to breath. They can dress up an outfit or dress it down. Whether you are attending a fun summer crab boil (I know…I’m country) or headed out with the girls for a ladies’night, sandals are the way to go. They are cute, comfortable, and affordable.

Well, there you have it. Kea's Top 5 Summer Must Haves. Hit me up at keakurviekulture@gmail.com with any questions, concerns, or any suggestions you may have. Have a fun, safe, and fashionable summer! Muah!!!

Sami's Must Have Summer Fashions

With summer right around the corner those hem lines are getting shorter and the shoes are getting higher! Living at the Jersey Shore, I spend my days at the beach and nights going out. I like to stay trendy with a bit of a twist! Here are my fashion must haves for summer 2013!

1.   High Waisted Bikini
I never thought I could pull off a bikini but this ultra trend has me hooked! A high waisted bikini bottom easily holds in a tummy but also emphasizes your curves! My tummy looks slim, my curves go in, and my thighs look super thick. An old styled bikini top finishes the look and you are ready to be a 1950’s pin up model! Whether you are at a backyard BBQ, hanging on the beach, or lounging by the pool this look is definitely my favorite!

2.   High-Low Skirts
Short in the front but long in the back! Perfect for those fun beach days that turn into long nights! The high-low dresses and skirts can be dressed up with a cute pair of heels or dressed down for a walk on the boards. They give you full coverage in the front and a little extra room in the back for those of us blessed in the rear. I like to wear them high waisted and coupled with a belt!

3.   Accessorize
The summer heat can FRIZZ my hair to look like a lion’s mane! A cute fedora or a cut bandana tied in the front keeps hair out of your face but still shows off a little twist of quirkiness! Throw on your favorite pair of shades and hoop or chandelier earrings to complete the look! Don’t forget to throw on your strappy wedges too!

4.   Peplum
Show off those hips! Peplum dresses, tops, and skirts are the cutest! Show off your vintage look and make those curves pop! I like to pair mine with a belt to make my waist look smaller! The shirts are super cute with a pair of leggings for night time or a pair of cut off shorts during the day! Pair the skirts with tank top to catch some summer sun or with a cute cardigan to keep warm from the summer breeze!

5.   Make-Up!
It’s hard to wear makeup in the summer especially during those heat waves! Go light and easy! I like to wear Physician’s Therapy powder foundation. It blends to your skin and doesn’t make you look too light or dark. It literally takes your natural color and enhances it! I also tend to wear just mascara and eye liner on my eyes. I am in love with Rimmel Lash Extension mascara! It adds length and volume, making my brown eyes really pop and look much lighter than they are! No face is complete without a little gloss on those lips! The sun really makes my lips pop when I’m wearing nude DazzleGirls Gloss by MAC or Bright Pink Color Stay lipstick by Revlon.

6.   Maxi-Dresses
I love the maxi-dresses this season! They are perfect to go from day to night! The geometric patterns or even plain can be dressed up or down for all occasions! With a belt and fedora, or even with a sock bun the maxi dress works for all occasions!

Those are my fashion must haves! If you have your own must haves you want to share make sure to comment below or email me SamiRose.KurvieKulture@gmail.com! Thanks for reading loves!

Car's 5 Fashion Must-Haves for the Summer

In the movie Field of Dreams they said, “If you build it, they will come.” Well, I share the same theory for Summer time weather, “If you wear it, it will come.” Everybody calls me crazy but as long as the temperature outside is 72o or higher you will find me in my summer threads. Now, I live in Texas so by the time it is technically the summer I’ll have worn all my cute dressy clothes, and my main focus will be staying cool and comfortable.  With that being said here are my Top 5 Fashion Must-Haves for the summer:

1.     Sunglasses- I cannot live without sunglasses during the summertime (or anytime the sun is out), I wear contacts so the sunlight dries my eyes out. But, for you non-visually impaired ladies out there sunglasses are a great way to accessorize any outfit. Me personally I own a few different sunglasses in several different shades and styles, I feel like your sunglasses should always match your outfit. A quick tip to ensure that you never leave home without at least one pair of sunglasses is leave them in your car’s console, that way as soon as you get in the car you can put them on, or keep a spare pair in your purse or backpack.

2.     Maxi Dress/Skirt- In Texas during the summertime a cool day is around 800 so it is very important to wear something cool and breezy. My go to outfit is a bright and colorful maxi dress in a light fabric or a maxi skirt paired with a tank top. If you can’t find a maxi skirt that you can’t live without or want to wear your favorite dress in a different way just roll/fold down any strapless maxi dress, pair it with a tank (tucked in) and a belt and you have a totally different look.

3.     Tank Top- I’m sure it comes as no surprise that tank tops are on my list since I have mentioned them paired with
my other must-haves. But, I must admit I love tank tops because they’re inexpensive and can be found just about anywhere in all sizes. And if you are a DIY’er like me a few strategically placed cuts or iron-on appliques and you can turn a $5.00 tank into a one of a kind creation.

4.     Leggings- The great thing about leggings are that they
are a year round essential, all you have to do is change your shirt and shoes and you are ready for any occasion.
During the summer time all I do is throw on a tank and sandals and I’m ready for just about any summer activity.
This summer I’m going to switch it up and go from solid leggings to print leggings and solid tops.

5.    Flip Flops- I saved the best for last, flip flops!!! If I could I would live life barefoot, however most places have some of the dirtiest and nastiest floors so since I have to wear shoes I always pick flip flops. Flip flops are my addiction meaning I will spend anywhere from $0.99 to $75.00 for a pair of flip flops, of course the $75.00 pair are considered my dress-up shoes and in Texas in the summer they’re allowed everywhere including church and weddings. I mean who wants to wear socks and closed toed shoes in the heat of the summer? Lastly, flip flops are an excellent reason to treat yourself or have someone to treat you to a pedicure or two.

Although it may not be summer or near summer temps where you are, I hope that my list of must-haves has inspired you to stock up on your very own summer must-haves. And please feel free to share with me what you consider to be your summer must-haves I love adding to my wardrobe.
